What we don't build
A product is defined as much by what it refuses to be as by what it does. Atlas is one connected model of your strategy, capabilities, applications and decisions. It is not everything, on purpose. Here is where we draw the line, and what we integrate instead, so the model stays something a midmarket team can actually keep current.
01Boundaries
Three engines we won't build
No FinOps engine
We will not rebuild cloud-cost management. Atlas records the cost signals that inform architecture decisions, and integrates with your FinOps tooling through MCP rather than competing with it. Your spend data stays where it already lives.
No process-mining engine
We will not reimplement process discovery. Atlas models capabilities and the applications that support them; where you already mine processes, we connect to that, rather than asking you to run two overlapping tools.
No wiki or canvas engine
We will not build another document editor or freeform canvas. Decisions live as structured, linked ADRs, not as prose in a wiki that goes stale. Where you keep long-form docs, we link out, so the model stays the model.
02No fake proof
And things we won't say
The hardest guardrails are the ones about our own marketing. We would rather be believed than impressive.
No self-reported numbers
We will not put customer counts or user totals on the site that cannot be verified anywhere. The absence of decoration is the point, not a gap to paper over.
No rhetorical percentages
No "reduce errors by a large percentage", no "total overview", no invented figures. If a number appears in our copy, it is real and it carries its source.
No testimonials before they exist
We will not write quotes for customers who have not said them. The case-study format is ready for the first pilot customer who wants to stand up. Until then, the sender is a named person, not a fabricated voice.

Built to hold together, not to do everything.
A focused model you can keep current beats a broad one that quietly rots. If you need one of the engines we don't build, we will point you to the right tool and connect to it. That is the honest version of a platform.
